Get to Know the San Lorenzo Community

Pledged in its mission to empower and support the Latin American community of Toronto, the organization plays a vital role in the integration of Latin-American immigrants into the Canadian society, as well as, in the development and preservation of the rich Latin American culture and traditions. Giving complete access to people with disabilities to all our programming have allowed us to acquire a practical understanding about the relationship between the way people function and how they participate in society, thus, we make sure that everybody has the same opportunities to participate in every aspect of life to the best of their abilities and desires.

San Lorenzo Latin American Community Centre

Dedicated in its mission to empower the Hispanic community, the Centre plays a vital role in the community’s development. As a community of immigrants, one of the major issues that we tackle is that of assimilation and we therefore focus on programs to assist and support newcomers to Toronto.

Promoting and preserving the Latin American cultural legacy

A place of faith and the home of hope.

A place of faith and the home of hope. At the corner of Wenderly Drive and Dufferin Street, in the city of Toronto, there is a small chapel. It has no tall sphinxes, no magnificent Gothic arches, no elaborate stained-glass windows. It is just one more parish, in the middle of a large and bustling avenue in the city. However, within its humble walls there is abundant wealth. Not of gold, not of silver, but of faith, hope and love.

A place of faith and the home of hope.

Making the voices of Latin American immigrants heard in Canada

Caravan of Hope

We are a non-profit that collects goods and funds in support of humanitarian issues in Latin America. We are 100% composed of volunteers, many of whom are humble immigrants themselves who have seen these issues firsthand in their countries of origin. Led by Fr. Hernan Astudillo, rector of the San Lorenzo Anglican Church in Toronto, we provide relief to poverty-stricken individuals in countries where pain and hardship is an everyday reality.

Our mission is to share, inspire, and globalize solidarity with the most impoverished people in the Americas
